The following information elaborates on non-editorial services provided by Precise Edit. General descriptions of services, rates, and service packages are available on the specialized services page and under the tabs above.
Manuscript review and analysis:
- thoroughly read the manuscript;
- analyze content, organization, style, and appropriateness for the intended audience and purpose;
- prepare global comments and recommendations; and
- embed comments throughout the document to address specific questions and comments.
Note: Many authors combine this with manuscript editing. (First the manuscript is reviewed. Then, following author revisions, the manuscript is edited.)
Training:
Precise Edit can provide training both off-site and at your location. Off-site training can be conducted through phone, desktop sharing, or e-mail. We can customize training to meet your specific writing needs. As each client's needs are unique, call us to discuss how we may provide the training services you need.
Transcription:
Transcription is performed by a person, not a computer program, thus ensuring greater accuracy. Error checking for spelling, word selection, and punctuation are available to increase the usefulness of the transcription.
